- The Jealous Gods is a 1928 novel by Gertrude Atherton. It is unknown whether or not this has any relation to the song. It may be a coincidence as with Signs of Life having no relation to the track by Pink Floyd.
- The chorus' opening lyrics may be in reference to the Bifrost of Norse mythology. "If I could build a bridge between us, arcs of soaring rainbows" The Bifrost is a bridge made out of rainbows.
