Symbolism
The Harlequin is a direct reference to the Commedia dell'Arte stock character of the same name, who competes with Pierrot (Zoltar / Jeremiah Peacekeeper) for the love of Columbina. He is shown to be a trickster, a pyromaniac and a lover of performance.
