Dawn was the 1994 debut album of Dance Nation, a collaboration between Markus Kaarlonen ("The Captain"), Laura Niskanen ("Laura N") and Sami Häkkinen ("MC Carbon D"). The album features a variety of electronic dance, club and similar 90s genres and is split into two halves - "Dawn" and "Twilight". The instrumental track Whirlwind is Italo Disco, the genre that inspired Captain's classic Amiga mod - Space Debris, three years prior.

The original version of The Eagle Has Landed was on the 1992 Dance Nation EP. The original version of Let the Rhythm Entrance had released in 1993 as the b-side to the single Don't Panic! True Conviction and Freed were released as singles in 1994.
