Diamonds for Tears was originally recorded by Poets of the Fall on The Voice's compilation album Livenä Vieraissa in 2008. Later that year, a reworked version of the track was included as the eighth track on the band's third album Revolution Roulette. The reworked version was also released as the album's second single.
