Diamonds for Tears was initially released by Poets of the Fall on The Voice's Livenä Vieraissa album in early 2008 alongside the band's cover of You Know My Name.
A reworked version of Diamonds for Tears was then included as the eighth track on Poets of the Fall's 2008 third album Revolution Roulette.
