Drama for Life was first released on YouTube as a Lyric Video on 4th August 2016. The video was produced and directed by Saku Perintö. The track was also released as a radio single the following day.
On 8th September 2016, a full music video for the track was released, also produced and directed by Perintö.
Drama for Life was included as the first track on Poets of the Fall's 2016 seventh full album Clearview. The radio edit from the single was also included as an iTunes Store bonus track. The band performed the track on Genelec Artist Room Live.

- The line Into the darkness on we ride is a callback to We keep driving into the night from Late Goodbye.
- A "mental Versailles" could be either a "mind palace" - a concept popularised by the BBC's "Sherlock" tv series - or given Versailles' history, a mental prison, like in the MV for Lift. Marko's situation in a box in both the MV and lyric video for Drama for Life could suggest a combination of the two.
