Jari Salminen is the current drummer of Poets of the Fall, having replaced Tapio Sutela early in the band's history back in 2006. Salminen was part of the "live band" that performed with Poets of the Fall in music videos and on tours since Carnival of Rust. Since 2008 he has been a full member of the band, providing immersive percussion with notable tracks including Running Out of Time and Love Will Come to You. There is a visual handover from Sutela to Salminen in the music video for Carnival of Rust, with Salminen then featuring prominently in the video for Locking Up the Sun.
