Moonlight Kissed is the third single and tenth and final track on Poets of the Fall's 2016 seventh album Clearview.
A music video for the track was released on 22nd September 2017, written & directed by Miika Hakala. The video features a slightly extended version of the song.

tendrils of smoke lash the street and shamelessly court
disguised honey sweet to cater all sorts
and hushed tones all agree and the world distorts.
Wishing on a speck of dust in this crazy ocean of fate,
an echo of a memory and maybe just a little too late.
Fingers of blue on the snow reaching to touch
the warm light still aglow across the porch.
We watch the scene die untold outside our window.
For my words are the salt of lust on that ivory skin,
difficult to hear at all through the everyday din.
What is this if not some witchcraft
wrapped up widdershins to lead us all astray,
hook in mouth, on through such webs of lies

Trivia
- The names of tracks 5 and 10 of this ten track album contain the sun (Children of the Sun) and moon (Moonlight Kissed). They also fit the naming conventions of the Signs of Life Trilogy and Revolution Roulette Trilogy respectively.
- The word "Widdershins" means anti-clockwise, in the direction contrary to the sun's course or "against the way" and is considered unlucky. The star in the line "Truth's a distant star in our eyes" would tie into the meaning if it is the sun. Interestingly the Carnival of Rust Lollipop spirals clockwise from the origin and the track listing on Alchemy Vol. 1 is ordered clockwise.
- The "star in our eyes" may also tie in with the Harlequin character who has a star painted over his eye in makeup.
